This is a vital role within the IDBF, aimed at promoting and supporting the development, participation, and recognition of women in the sport of dragon boat racing at all levels.<\/p>\n<p>The Chair of the Women\u2019s Commission will work closely with the IDBF Executive Committee and relevant stakeholders to advocate for gender equality, encourage participation by women, and address issues impacting female paddlers globally and will be part of the IDBF Council.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the Women\u2019s Commission to develop strategies and initiatives aimed at advancing the involvement of women in dragon boat racing.<\/li>\n<li>Represent the interests of female paddlers in IDBF activities and decision-making processes.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with IDBF Member Federations to implement programs that enhance opportunities for women in the sport.<\/li>\n<li>Address challenges and barriers to participation and representation of women in dragon boat racing.<\/li>\n<li>Report regularly to the IDBF Executive Committee on progress and outcomes of initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A strong commitment to the advancement of women in sports.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in leadership roles, ideally in sport management or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with dragon boat racing and its global structure is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To express your interest in this position, please submit the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A cover letter outlining your qualifications, experience, and vision for the Women\u2019s Commission.<\/li>\n<li>A current CV.<\/li>\n<li>Contact details of two referees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Please send your application to the IDBF General Secretary Mr Peter Tang at:<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:general-secretary@dragonboat.sport\">general-secretary@dragonboat.sport<\/a> on or before <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Saturday 14th December at 12.00 noon UTC<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The IDBF is committed to diversity and inclusion and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply.<br \/>\nWe look forward to receiving your application and to working together to enhance the role of women in dragon boat racing worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>About the IDBF<br \/>\n<\/strong>The International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) is the global governing body for dragon boat racing.
