The information and regulations in this Bulletin are extracted from, and where necessary supplement and enhance the IDBF Competition Regulations and Rules of Racing, with which all competing crews are to acquaint themselves – see www.dragonboat.sport. In the event of a situation arising which is not covered by the IDBF Competition Regulations, or the Championship Regulations contained herein, then the Chief Official will be responsible for investigating the circumstances and recommending appropriate action to the IDBF Jury appointed for the Championships.

You are reminded that IDBF Regulations exclude Male Helms from Steering Women’s crews.

The information of Bulletin No 3 is complementary to Bulletin No 1, Bulletin No 2 and the Supplementary Information – Paradragon Bulletin. The four Bulletins together serve as complete guidance.

The United States Dragon Boat Federation (USDBF) in conjunction with the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF), cordially invite Club Crews from around the world to participate in the 13th IDBF Club Crew World Dragon Boat Championships, which will be held at Nathan Benderson Park (NBP) located in Sarasota, Florida.

• Competition will be held from Tuesday, July 19 to Sunday, July 24, 2022.
• The opening ceremony will take place on Monday evening, July 18th.

Racing Categories

In order to attract maximum participation, IDBF has decided to offer only the PD2 race category (i.e. where only about half of the paddlers need to be para athletes) at the 12th IDBF Club Crew World Dragon Boat Championships. Read more.

Certificate of Diagnosis

In order to satisfy IDBF race rules, each Paradragon paddler must submit a ‘Certificate of Diagnosis’ to IDBF. This certificate must be signed by a registered medical practitioner, as well as by the individual.
