Live streaming for the 2024 14th IDBF Club Crew World Championships – Ravenna, Italy

The 2024 14th IDBF Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) is shaping up to be the largest ever! With 163 clubs from 30 different countries, this will be the biggest CCWC event to date. Get ready for 475 races over 6 days and enjoy unlimited access to all races (live and replays).

To enhance the viewing experience and ensure the highest quality coverage, the IDBF is introducing a fee for live streaming. This fee helps us cover the costs associated with professional production, including high-definition video, expert commentary, and reliable streaming infrastructure. By charging this fee, we can provide unlimited access to the live stream, allowing dragon boat fans to enjoy the races in real-time and revisit the excitement even after the championships conclude. Your support ensures we can continue delivering top-notch content and promoting the sport globally.

Streaming options

Full Championship Access for 6 days – €15 – offer available now and includes full access to all the races live and replays
Weekend Championship Access for 2 days – offer starts from 7 September and includes 7-8 September races live and replays – €5 (after the championship, you get full access to all 6 days of racing)
Post Championship Access – offer starts from 9 September – €5 (full access to all 6 days of racing)

How to sign up for CCWC2024 live streaming
The IDBF is using the Crowdcast platform to stream its CCWC2024 event. Each Crowdcast event takes place at a single link. That means you’ll use the same link to register, watch live, and view the replay of a particular event.

FAQs
Can I purchase the Race Day event tickets in advance?
Yes only for the Full Championship Access. Weekend Championship Access is available from 7th September (CEST). Post Championship Access is available from 9th September.

Can I watch the replays of the races if I miss the live broadcast?
Depending on your subscription access level, you can watch the live stream in real-time or watch the replays from a certain date.

How long will the live streaming be made available after the championship?
All the videos will be available in your account post championships.

Can I watch the live streaming on my mobile or tablet?
If you’re simply attending an event on Crowdcast, you can join from any mobile device or computer. Android users are able to join events directly from a browser – no download required! Those with an iOS device like iPad or iPhone can watch events from a browser.

How do I know which live streaming site is the official IDBF one?

14th IDBF CCWC – Bulletin 2

The information in Bulletin No.2 is complementary to Bulletin No.1. The two Bulletins together serve as the complete guidance to date.

The International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF), trading as International Dragon Boat Federation Limited (IDBF Limited) in conjunction with the Italian Dragon Boat Federation (FIDB) and the Ravenna Organizing Committee (RDBE) cordially invite all crews from clubs affiliated to IDBF Members to participate in the 14th IDBF Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) which will be held at Bacino della Standiana, Via Standiana 38, Savio di Ravenna, Ravenna, Italy.

Team arrival, training and registration will be held from Saturday 31st August to Monday 2nd September. The Championships will be held from Tuesday, 3rd September to Sunday, 8th September 2024. Crews are advised to arrive no later than the morning of 2nd September. Team registration has to be fully completed by no later than 1 pm.

Information in Bulletin No.2 provides further details on the 14th IDBF Club Crew World Dragon Boat Championships and reminds participating Club Crews about the important timelines that must be adhered to.

Provisional entries closed Sunday 18 February and Saturday 18 May is the deadline for Confirmed entries to be made (which must be done using the IDBF online registration system). In addition, participating clubs are requested to upload to the IDBF registration system the details of their participants/athletes and their photographs as soon as possible but with a final deadline of Sunday 30 June 2024.

Competition Regulation – IDBF interpretation of article CR4.3 Club Crews

On the 3rd February, the IDBF Executive Committee approved the new interpretation of the Competition Regulation 4.3 as a guideline for club crews and national federations to follow leading into the next CCWC in Ravenna, Italy this year. The purpose of the interpretation is to reduce any grey areas and, if any specific situation is not covered, members can ask the IDBF Competition & Technical Commission. The intent is to help the integrity of our members and the spirit of the “club crews” championships.

“I’m very much satisfied with this unanimous decision – said IDBF President Claudio Schermi – to offer a concrete guideline for the common interpretation of CR4.3, Club Crews, in all the continents and in different circumstances. See you in Ravenna 2024!”
